10 Things to Enjoy on Atlanta’s BeltLine

Atlanta may not be the largest city in the U.S., but it is the largest city in the Peachtree state that boasts world-class dining, lush greenery for outdoor activities and of course, Hotel Clermont! Whether you’re visiting Atlanta for business or pleasure, Hotel Clermont is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from downtown Atlanta on the historic Ponce de Leon Avenue and minutes away from The Atlanta BeltLine. During your stay, make sure to stop by our on-site swinging French-American brasserie, Tiny Lou’s or Lobby Bar, where guests can find a nook and make it their own. Enjoy late night bites, a cocktail, and our vintage photo booth.

The Atlanta BeltLine Top 10 Edition

The Atlanta BeltLine is a 22-mile-long loop that connects 45 of Atlanta’s intown neighborhoods and vibrant city culture via multi-use trails, modern streetcars, and parks – all based on railroad corridors that formerly encircled Atlanta. With countless “things to do” to pick from, it's no wonder you’ll need more than a couple of days to experience what this urban redevelopment offers.

In no particular order, here are our top 10 suggestions!

  1. Pub on Ponce Beer & Wine at Kroger
Just under a 10-minute walk from Hotel Clermont is Pub on Ponce Beer & Wine Bar inside what some locals call the “BeltLine Kroger”. Enjoy a gourmet pretzel for a snack and a glass of wine from this quirky grocery store pub.

  2. Ponce City Market
You can’t leave Atlanta without checking out this one-of-a-kind open-air market. Located just down the street from Hotel Clermont, Ponce City Market has a food hall, local artisan shops and a Saturday Market that hosts vintage pop-ups.

  3. The Roof at Ponce City Market
When you’re ready to relax from a day of shopping or for a bit of family fun, check out The Roof at Ponce City Market. With numerous attractions to choose from, you can enjoy Skyline Park with the kids, take a cocktail-making class at 12 Cocktail Bar or catch the view of all three of Atlanta’s main skylines from the rooftop.

  4. The Rooftop at Hotel Clermont
Speaking of rooftops, no one does it better than an Oliver Hospitality brand! Sited near the Eastside Trail, the largest portion of the BeltLine to date, The Rooftop at Hotel Clermont is the finest of the finer things! With astroturf, street food, daiquiris in the summer, and hot toddies in the fall - the romance of being on a roof with its skyline views for days is how the best memories are made. Hotel guests receive priority access and other “pick your perk” offers while staying with us.

  5. Krog Street Market / Krog District
Another popular food hall to check out along the BeltLine is Krog Street Market in the Krog District. Located in a historic building from the 1920s, some may call this section of the BeltLine the heart of the Eastside Trail, where you’ll find a wide variety of locally-owned food stalls for a quick bite or a “create your own” food tour.

  6. Estrella Rooftop
Voted one of Atlanta’s best rooftops, Estrella’s Rooftop is another option for al fresco dining with a view. This stop along the BeltLine offers delicious tapas and Latin/Mexican-inspired drinks that will make you forget you’re in Georgia. Come watch the sun set over this Georgia city skyline while enjoying their signature Lavender Margarita.

  7. Historic Fourth Ward Park
Across the street from Ponce City Market and a short walk from the Eastside trail, you’ll find, nestled in what may seem the middle of the city, the Historic Fourth Ward Park, a beautiful 17-acre park with countless amenities that all can enjoy.

  8. Atlanta Bicycle Barn
Stop by this bike rental shop for the easiest way to get around Atlanta on the Beltline. You can choose from e-bikes, tandem bikes or traditional bikes - helmets are included! Check out Atlanta Bicycle Barn for pricing and hours.

  9. Krog Street Tunnel
Looking for your next Instagram selfie? Make sure to stop by this artsy street tunnel on the corner of Krog Street and DeKalb Ave, which is full of local art and graffiti. This tunnel’s history dates back over 100 years and continuously ranks high in local tourist attractions.

  10. Atlanta Botanical Garden
With 30 acres of lush gardens to explore, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is an experience for all ages. Make sure to check out their upcoming events calendar for the many exhibitions they have to offer while you’re in town.
